To Alyce, songwriting is a practice rooted in catharsis and emotional expression. The way creating music imparts feelings is much more vivid than what verbal communication often offers. Through music, she feels understood. Therefore, it has become the centerpiece of her life in almost every way.  Her releases and performances often manifest as either dreamy, psychedelic rock or somber acoustic ballads, made all the more elaborate and distinctive by her friends and collaborators. As she continues to put out projects, she hopes every song meets her listeners where they're at, and helps them digest feelings as much as they've helped her.
